The Royal Institution of Great Britain has been doing a free public family-oriented science lecture on a topic each year since 1825, only missing 1939–42 because of the Second World War. 2020 is the first year the lecture was held with no audience. The speakers are some of the best in their field and the talks are geared towards those with out science backgrounds but are insightful to anyone. The RIGB website has over 50 years of lecture videos. With audience participation and experiments these lectures are great way to bring in the new year! Happy New Year!
